Farooq Mengal turns from dramas to film

Farooq Mengal has a very important place in Pakistani drama industry. He is considered the basic support upon which Pakistani drama industry based as he has been associated with the industry as a producer and director.

After proving himself, now he has decided to move towards another direction and shoot a feature film. The director is going to shoot his debut film, titled as “Hijrat” which is set to release in October 2013.

The movie Hijrat, is about a love triangle with some human rights issues. Farooq Mengal explains that it is an effort to explore the human rights issues in Pakistan through this film.

Further he describes that there are so many problems in Pakistan and there is need to find stories from Pakistani society so the viewers can relate issues with stories.

There are some new faces in the movie as well as some experienced actors would appear. The cast of the movie Hijrat, includes Shahzad Sheikh (Javed Sheikh’s son), Noman Ijaz, Rabia Butt, Azra Aftab, Ayub Khoso and Wiam Dhamani, the Moroccan actor who is also making appearance in Shehzad Rafique’s film, Ishq Khuda.

Farooq Mengal reveals that it is really a hard work to make a film according to modern trends as well as he explains that the difference can be seen, if there is a good quality film it could be run in cinemas for much time.

He has imported first-rate production and film-making equipment from India to make a quality film.

Another famous Pakistani actor Ayub Khoso explains the uniqueness of the movie Hijrat, saying that it demonstrates the changing trends in Pakistani cinema.

There are new actors in the industry who are with new talent and passion for the art. Many qualified actors entered this field having knowledge about the industry.
