Quaid-e-Azam’s address celebrating first Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH) in Independent Pakistan

On 25TH January 1948, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah addressed Karachi Bar Association on Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH) (Prophet’s birthday) and said.

Islam is not only the combination of customs, traditions and spiritual ideas; even Islam is also a code for every Muslim which regulates his life and his conduct even in politics and economics.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a great leader, a great law-giver, a great statesman and a great sovereign who ruled.

Islam is based on the highest principles of honor, integrity, fair play and justice for all. Believe on One God is one of the basic principles of Islam.

According to Islam there is no difference between a man and the other. Equality of mankind and brotherhood are fundamental principles of Islam.

In his address Quaid-e-Azam clarified the proper meaning of Islam. He gave guidance to Pakistani people about their life styles. There is need that Pakistani nation should recall great leader’s message. No doubt, Islam is a proper code of life for every Muslim.
