The word Milad has been derived from “Viladut” which means birth.  Milad is word which indicates the place and time of birth.

Milad is to remember the events which took place at the birth time of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him). All the Muslims get the opportunity of narrating the Seerat of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him) on this occasion. We presents the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him) gifts of Durood -o- salam.

All the Muslims celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) on 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, with full zeal. As the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal starts Muslims start their preparations for Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH).


This year Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) will be celebrated on 25th of January. In different cities of Pakistan the preparations for celebrating Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) are gaining momentum.

People are busy in decorating roads, bazaars, buildings, houses and shopping centres with colourful banners and lights.

Cultural, educational institutions and religious organisations have prepared different programmes for Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) with religious enthusiasm. Children seem busy in decorating streets and homes with flags and preparing special dresses for the event.

Different processions would be taken out in different areas of Pakistan. Vioces of Naat Khawans can be heard which really make the environment peaceful and calm.

While in different programs Ulema and scholars would highlight the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and deliver lectures on his way of life and conduct.

The whole country (Pakistan) is being decorated. Especially Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan seems fabulous at Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH).

As there are beautiful lighting everywhere and different Naat Khawani programs are being held on different locations.
