A 31-year-old Pakistani fish seller Mohammad Shahid Nazir at a London market has got a record deal with Warner Music.

He used to selling fish in Queen’s Market, Upton Park, London. He seems like an unlikely pop star. But when he has started to sing his One Pound Fish Song, he suddenly got recognition by millions of fans.

His famous song goes Come on ladies, come on ladies, have a, have a look, one pound fish. Very very good, very very cheap, one pound fish one pound fish.

His One Pound Fish Song has led him to sign a record deal with Warner Music. His catching tone song is introduced as could be new ‘Gangnam Style’ by Sun Newspaper.

Mohammad Shahid Nazir has achieved more than 3.6 million views on youtube for his popular song. Alesha Dixon and US boy band Mindless Behaviour have recorded versions of the song.

Mohammad Shahid Nazir moved to the UK from Pakistan a year ago with the hope of making enough money to send to his wife and four children in Pakistan.

On Shahid’s first day working on the fish stall, his boss told him to shout to the customers to get their attention. He told him he cannot shout and then he made up a song that made him very popular across the world.
