Pakistani novelist and story writer Razia Butt passed away in Lahore

Pakistani Urdu Novelist and story writer Razia Butt has passed away after a prolonged illness, at the age of 89 in Defence area of Lahore.
She died on Thursday and Her funeral prayer will be offered in DHA after Jumma prayers .

Her family members told that she felt pain in chest and went unconscious. They took her to the hospital in defence area where doctors declared her death.

Razia Butt was born in 1924. First time she was appeared in Urdu literature around 1940 when she was in her teens.

Then she developed her first published story into a novel, Naila. This is her most famous novel till now.

Razia Butt got married in 1946. After some years’ break, she restarted writing in 1950s. She had written 5o novels and 350 short stories. She was welcomed as one of the productive writers of her time.

Many drama serials and films were also made on the novels of the Razia Butt.such as Saiqa and Naila. She was also a favourite of television producers.

The talented and generous writer will be much missed. May her soul rest in heaven.
